Dear bloggers, Nice job on your first round! I've read most of your posts, and you all did particularly well in assessing the information. (Those of you who still haven't published your posts, please make sure you do so I can comment on it.) Try and get more information in your summary, though -- part of the purpose of this blog is so other people can learn the news by reading your post.
In addition to 10 points per post, by the way, you'll also get 2 points for every comment you put on someone else's post. It has to be at least 1 complete sentence. ("I like this" doesn't count.)
Also, I heard on the radio the other day that the amount of economic news has dropped dramatically from a year ago since we no longer appear to be in a crisis and are instead slogging our way out of a recession (or at least trying to). As a result, I'm going to allow you to use articles up to a month old instead of a week old. Hopefully, this will make your task easier and still make you more informed on the state of the economy.
Don't forget the 5 questions, with slight changes:
1. What is this article about? Provide a brief summary.
2. Why did you choose it -- what did you find interesting about it?
3. Do you agree with what's happening in the story? Why or why not?
4. Do you think the information has been presented fairly? Why or why not?
5. Would use this news source again? Why or why not?
