Best-Case Scenario: Unemployment Rises

1.What is this item about?
the unemployment rate hit 10.2% making this the second time topping 10% since the Great Depression. If dicouraged workers try to go out and look for a job rite now the unemployment rate would be 11.6%. David Rosenberg is estamating that unemployment is heading towards 12% and 13%. they believe that the unemployment rate will climb even if the economic recovery continues to gain steam.


2.Why did you choose it?
because its about unemployment and i could be wanting to work so itll be harder for me to find a job and its good to know whats going on with jobs.

yes i do agree. i understand why unemployment is so high.

yes i do think that the news was presented fairly. they had percentage rates and from that you can predict what will happen.

  1. Kathleen, One of the reasons I like doing this blog is I learn so much from reading articles students choose. This is one of the best articles on the current employment picture I've ever read. It's clear, detailed and makes a lot of good points. Employment always takes longer to pick up than the economy overall, and this explains why.
