1. what is this item about?
its about the problems that disney has been going through the last few months. they are doing fine in television but in movies and at disney world their not doing so well. they spent $175 million on the new movie "a christmas carol" and only got $31 million in ticket sales the weekend it opened. in the last two months disney has been letting people go and hiring new people for its company. disney recorded a net income of 47 cents a share for the quarter that ended on october 3rd which compared to last year's net income of 40 cents a share for the share. net income dropped to $3.3 billion from $4.4 billion. the article says that "Although Disney’s parks business is considered a barometer of consumer confidence, recovery in the travel industry tends to lag any broader economic turnaround." they want to change that by discounting rooms in hotels at owned by disney.

i chose this artilce because i like to see whats happening with the movies and how disney is doing.
i thought it was intresting because i like disney movies and its intresting to see whats happening.

yes i do because people dont have the time or money to go see movies anymore so everyone is staying home.

yes because the paper covers all the information in a respectful manner.

yes because i read the news paper almost every day.
