Thi sArticle is about how the increasing amount of unemployment ,in a family household has had an affect on the people who live in it. Many studies have been tested which show the increase in stress and mood changes in children whos parents have lost their jobs.

I chose this article because it has very solid information about what is happening throughout many families in the U.S. Also, it is a very important factor that can affect everyone around them.

Yes, i can agree with this Article. I understand it would probably be hard for the parents to lose their jobs and try to support their families. So because their fustrated, it can rub off on their children and make them upset as well.

Yes i think this information has been presented fairly. Michael Luo has shown the affects of unemploy ment, but he also writes about how the bachmuth family tries and gets back on their feet.

Marissa, This was a really solid post on a heartbreaking article. As someone who lived with someone who had chronic long-term unemployment, I can tell you from experience that the stress level in the house can be enormous and that reaches the children. The thing that struck me the most was the statistic that children of people who had been laid off went on to make less money themselves as adults. What happened to the American dream?
